CONCACAF North America Preseason
Preseason tournaments held in USA include the International Champions Cup featuring top European and South American teams which has been held over the past few years; the United Soccer Association, a preseason league where European and South American teams (including Shamrock Rovers and Glenavon) played as American-based teams over the summer of 1967; and the International Soccer League from 1960 to 1965, an extended preseason tournament, again featuring top European and South American teams.

USA 1967: Shamrock Rovers (ROI) representing Boston Rovers finished 6th of 6 in the Eastern Division with 7 Points from 12 Played.
International Soccer League
Visiting Teams from Europe and South America played an extended Month-long tournament in USA.
ISL 1961: Shamrock Rovers (ROI) finished in 7th of 8 in Second Section with 4 Points from 7 Played.
ISL 1960: Glenavon (NIR) finished in 6th of 6 in First Section with 2 Points from 5 Played
