Recap
The Civil Service Ladies Football League Division 1 went right down to the wire in 1990 in the Republic of Ireland, with a postponed game to be rescheduled for September 20th which would decide the Championship. Blacklions based in Tymon Park, Tallaght were on top having won 12 and drawn one of their 14 matches, and Castle Rovers were second, two points behind with that postponed game in hand versus third-placed Donnybrook. If Castle Rovers were to win that match it would force a playoff with Blacklions, otherwise the title would go to the Tallaght team.
Marley Rangers finished fourth on 12 points, then Bank of Ireland on 11, Hammond Celtic and Portobello on 9 and AIB on 8 made up the rest of the highly competitive 8-team Division 1.
